PREVIOUSLY ON BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: Just as Buffy and the gang were settling into their new home in Whispering Pines, Drusilla appeared and kidnapped Giles. The insane vampire intended to take revenge on Buffy for taking Spike away from her.
Despite magical mishaps and misdirection, Buffy and the gang were able to rescue Giles and Xander staked Dru. After treatment at the hospital they returned home where they were reminded that while they didn't lose Giles to the demon, they were going to lose him eventually to England and the new Council....
